The Shreveport-Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission (MPC) is kicking off an exciting process to update the Great Expectations: Shreveport-Caddo 2030 Master Plan. This initiative, known as One Shreveport, is all about creating a shared community vision for the city’s future.
One Shreveport will serve as a guide for the city’s growth and development, covering areas like housing, economic growth, transportation, parks, utilities, and more. This long-term plan will help local leaders make informed decisions that shape Shreveport in the years to come.
Throughout 2024 and into early 2025, the MPC will actively engage the community, inviting residents, workers, and stakeholders to share their ideas and hopes for Shreveport’s future. The goal is to make sure the plan reflects what the people want and translates those ideas into actionable policies and projects.
A community workshop is planned for September 14, 2024, from 9 AM to 12 PM, for those interested in learning more and getting involved. Check out oneshreveport.org for more details!
